Things from the past that we remember are called memories. They help to keep the past alive. They can be both good and bad. Good memories help us to be happy, cheerful and remain positive. On the other hand, bad memories make us sad and negative towards life.
There are a lot of incidents and events that take place in the life of a child. However, most children tend to remember the things that gave them joy, rather than the ones that hurt them, either emotionally or physically. When we recollect our past, it often brings a smile to our face.
Teenagers often realise that things are a lot different in their lives, than they were, in childhood. I, being a teenager, have a lot of memories from the past, that I would like to share with you.
When I was small, every day in the evening, after studying for 3 hours, I’d go to my granny’s house to play with my grandmother and grandfather. It was just the apartment next to our house, and the walk was hardly of 2-3 minutes. I’d play all sorts of games with them for almost 4-5 hours. Nowadays I hardly go to their house. Even if I go, I only stay for half an hour. I don’t go to play of course, I just go to meet them.
Once my father and I were playing hide- and- seek in the house. He hid somewhere where I couldn’t find him, and guess what I did? I started crying! Even now when I think of it, I can’t figure out the reason behind shedding my tears.
Once, when I was in class one, I knocked on the washroom door just for fun. I knew no one was inside but I heard a harsh voice asking, “Who’s it?” I was scared out of my wits but no one actually believed me. They just laughed.
What are your childhood memories? Do let me know in the comment section. I’ll be posting more such blogs. Till then, take care!
